During the summer, a lot of people are tempted to take their dogs into the pool. A lot of dog owners worry about chlorine, is it bad for dogs?
Is it bad?
As long as your swimming pool has relatively normal (low) amounts of chlorine, even if your dog drinks a bit of water, they’ll be fine. You’ll need to make sure that the dog does not drink a lot of water.
What happens if my dog drinks too much water?
Call your vet, vomiting, nausea and damage to the oesophagus can be caused by chlorinated water.

Make sure not to force your dog into the pool. It is better that they feel comfortable. Talk to your vet and or trainer before swimming.
