Maltese Vs Maltese Bichon: What’s The Difference?

Maltese and Maltese Bichon have a lot in common. From their white coats to their size. Only an owner can tell. Some people get scammed and get a bichon instead of a maltese. But when you have both, it’s easy to tell the difference.

History

Maltese is one of the oldest toy dog breeds, dating back 2,000 years. Greeks loved their fluffy companions so much that they even built tombs for their beloved fluff balls. It is thought that Maltese are ancestors of the Bichon.

Size

Bichons are slightly larger than Malteses. Maltese Bichons reach a height of 22-27cm while Malteses have a height of 22-25cm.
