Jaiveer Talwar When you are sitting at a low table with food on it, at least once, your dog has tried to get the food. If your dog has and you aren’t so happy with it, we have three methods for you.
Method #1: “Leave It”
When your dog jumps up onto the table, say “leave it” in a firm voice, not shouting. If the dog comes down, treat the dog. Only treat the dog for the first 4-5 times he comes down from the table at the command; otherwise the dog will jump up knowing that you’ll give him a treat.
Method #2: Tie Something Scary To The Table
My dog is scared of balloons, so I tied balloons to the table. You can tie something that your dog is scared of.
Method #3: Disgusting Food
If the first two methods don’t work, this is the worst of the worst, guaranteed to work. Put food on the table, but make it disgusting, like bitter-cord or chips covered in Tabasco. Let the dog eat this.
